Take a few minutes to look over our rush pages and
see how Beta Psi is mixing business with pleasure at The Florida
State University!
Who is the Beta Psi Chapter?
The Beta Psi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi at The Florida State University
is a concentration of motivated and success oriented business students.
We have the common objectives of professional preparation, development,
and success.
Alpha Kappa Psi. the largest and oldest coed Professional
Business Fraternity, presents essential tools necessary to enrich
the professional and social aspects of college life outside of the
classroom. Membership in the Beta Psi Chapter provides valuable
benefits and personal growth, both professionally and socially.
Members are prepared to excel in “real world” business
by providing opportunities to develop leadership, organization,
time management, and speaking skills. Through networking, resume
writing, career assistance, and professional workshops, members
are continually building their business skills and furthering individual
growth.
How do I rush?
Beta Psi holds a rush each Fall and Spring. During each Rush, there
is an information table set up outside of the Rovetta College of
Business Building. See the table above for the time of specific rush events when Rush draws near.
During these times, brothers are on hand to answer any questions
that any rushee might have. Also, rushees can sign up for interviews
and rush parties at the table.
The requirements for rush are:
Expression of interest in the fields of business, statistics, or economics
College Credit at The Florida
State University, excluding those attained through high school
dual enrollment, AP classes, and CLEP exams
Minimum GPA in accordance with The Florida State
University College Of Business
Must not be graduating in the same semester as

Time Commitment
What is the time commitment in being a member of Alpha
Kappa Psi? Some say it's like taking another class while others
disagree and say it is something that is really bettering themselves
on his or her own time!
The best way to get a feel for the time commitment
involved is to come out to a Rush party or the information table
and talk to some of the brothers. This really lets you ask some
questions and get a good feel for the program and the time commitment
that's involved. Check out the Rush page for dates and times of
Rush Parties, Rush Interviews, and the information table. Hope to
see you soon!
